This is a good one. Getting spiritual overload? Too many negaters and nihilists to enjoy the group? How about all these people who keep saying
there's no end to suffering, and there is no real awakening. Or who sit and smugly say "Well, I'm not awake," as if to fit in and be accepted by the status quo. Then there's who insist the table is real (look! I can pound it with my fist and it's still there!) or who demand to know "how do you KNOW" to everything you try to share. There's the lecturers, the sad sacks, the nay-sayers, and then the wallflowers who mope and sit in silence and never return. Oh, don't forget the know-it-alls and the dominators. It's quite a show, everywhere you go. Then they go see Adyashanti, or Gangaji or someone along those lines, hear all about the truth and awakening, and then dig back into their shells of delusion. Or they go to the deluded teachers to get reinforced.
Sometimes just doing nothing, not going to satsangs or discussions, not looking for awakened teachers to promote or sending endless emails or giving events in the virtual world seems like a good idea! But I love the truth. And there are a few out there who will help fix the burnout. Yet more wisdom to gain. Back to India? Probably!
