Bay Area Self Inquiry Group - going deeper

Only the third meeting, we seem to be getting a certain rhythm going, where some key people are showing up and the process of question-comment- inquiry is settling in
. Yesterday the question was "How do you use daily activities to do self inquiry?"  The question was created by Nobie, an suggested by Shawn. I take these questions quite literally, and shared 3 specific examples of daily activities and how I used them to process, one being about missing the freeway turnoff because of busy mind. It actually drew some criticisms which initially made me contract against them, but I grabbed at the experience as a challenge to learn from and simply accepted. Out of that came my assertion that I followed my inspiration, and then others seemed to go off topic and find it interesting to pursue that. All shared deeply -Amy, Akemi, Brent, Adi, Shawn, and Cory. Cory has a big vision for a spiritual teaching-service project and has been sharing it with me on the side. I recommended Shawn's film documentary "Five Remarkable Women" as good stories of awakening, and Brent took it to check it out. Hope he brings it back.

Here is Cory's email to me after the event:
Hi Joel,
I found today's gathering to be very open and nurturing.  Thanks and it feels natural to mention that it is good that you made the time 2pm...  very synchronistic as I also go to this Buddhist type Sunday morning gatherings that end at 1pm  in Richmond Point that I think is the same altenate Sunday as your group...  So this might allow me to do both, although sometimes I like to hang around and share at the Buddhist gathering so we shall see.
What is synchronistic is that I saw that you and Akemi  go to some Buddhist thing as well.  Well...  the guy I go to see is amazing.. he is like a Tibetan Adyashanti and has transcended even the Buddhist structure and speaks without dogma but can draw from his heritage too.  So you are welcome to come see him sometime and I hope I can make all of your gatherings as well..
Also, I am sensing we can make some time to share a little more on how and if we will support each other.. so far.. it feels good to me, so let's explore that further.   After the Buddhist gathering is a good time for that or we can arrange something else.  Having your gathering on alternate Sundays with my Buddhist group would be the best scenario for me...  however I am OK with however is best for all...     anyway....   thanks again...  there are not many small groups like ours to share like that in the way we are oriented..   again... so far... there is something synchronistic about this and I am loving seeing what is to be revealed next....    See you soon    Much love to you and Akemi
As Love Always
Cory Bright
